But Tyler is consumed with football today and somehow he has convinced Sloane to jump on the train.
During Labor Day weekend we went into preterm labor at the Minnesota state fair, scary to say the least. Luckily my mom and dad had Sloane and we were able to be in he he hospital alone.
I was so mad when the nurse was writing our names on the white board and then asked what the babies name was to put up there.
"Um no lady, we are not having this baby today."
She then went ahead and called it 'sunshine' which also annoyed me.
*Note to self, when you are a nurse don't do this.*
I have told my work I am no longer go back after this baby but haven't been able to tell my clients because I am fully booked up until the day I leave and they don't want my clients to cancel and get upset. Completely understandable. But my clients that are nurses...I am making an extra effort to keep in contact with them so when I am done with school I will have an in :)
Because let's face it, in life, its not about what you know, but WHO you know.
Our wedding season has also come to a close as we had 7 weddings and only attended 4, thank god.
It's so stressful/annoying to find suitable clothes to fit the bump that aren't black (I have to wear black as a dress code to work so that's what most of my wardrobe consists of) and also cheap, because I know I will only wear this dress tops 2 times.
Another side note about clothes buying lately- I am only buying shirts that button- or sweaters that are open in the front that I can wear with a nursing cami. How annoying is it to lift your shirt up and have it all bunched at your neck as you're trying to see if your baby baby is latched on ok and it keeps slipping down..I have learned this lesson the 2nd time around.
I have also learned that less is more. Do i need a baby swing and a bouncer and 4 carriers and a million "cute" out fits to put her in? Heck no. If you have money to spend on these things, by all means go for it. Try out what they like/what you like, as for me, I need a good 10 sleepers, my boobs, some diapers, and a rock and play sleeper. I'm set.
I'm really looking forward to my 6 months off from work and then starting school! Oh and I CANT WAIT TO CROSSFIT.
I am not even allowed to run more then a block with Sloane due to the preterm labor and bleeding in bye be beginning. Although it has been best for my body, it is killing me to not be in shape. I am eating so much more healthy this time around then I did with Sloane and it definitely makes a difference. I do enjoy cookies, DQ, chocolate chips...but not everyday. And lots and lots of veggies and fruits is helping me keep my sanity!
How far along are you? 31 weeks! I believe 32 soon... It's amazing that you forget to keep track the second time.
Weight gain? 18 pounds. ( compared to my 29 with Sloane at this point!)
What's up with my body: hard to carry my 18 month old around, but because I have been making a conscious effort to eat healthier- I don't feel nearly as sluggish, as well as my skin looks great too! who said girls steal your beauty ;)
Emotions: a Roller coaster. I can't wait to be with my husband when I'm not pregnant...I have been pregnant with him more then I have not. He must really love me.
Food cravings: Sweets. I try to hold back, but I like chocolate chips in my oatmeal. I try to bake lots of paleo sweets...not so much for my husband, but for myself hehe I am addicted to chocolate almond milk too! So yummy!
Growing baby: well she is measuring 4 weeks ahead, not just my belly, the actual baby is big. A big tall, squirmy, way more active baby. My ribs are sore when I cough...she will be such an athlete! We hope. Haha!
I told Dr.P that she is a lot more active then Sloane was she told me this hilarious story about her son who was the most active in her belly, and when she would car pool to school the other moms said "Does he have attention hyper active disorder?" She replied no, he's just very active. I'm not sure if she was in denial, but I do have ADD, and my husband is a behavioral anylst, so we have the perfect combo if this is hr case. But maybe she will just be super active ;)
I did see a psychic again and she told me this baby will be a lot more "fierce and active" ....her name we picked means fierce, and she sure is active. Cool!
Labor signs: baxton hicks when I'm on my feet for a while. Trying to drink lots of water but hate getting up 6+ times in The night to pee!
Gender: unfortunately for me, my husband told me he wasn't excited about the baby unless we find out the sex, obviously I wanted him to be excited! So u,tra sound number 2, we found out. I'm sure you picked up on it, but yes, another GIRL! Can't wait for the sisters to be close in age and be buds...let's hope.
Our little cook :)
